A Next Generation Chromatographic Media Enabling the Fast, Reliable Purification of Monoclonal Antibodies

ZirChrom introduces a biocompatible stationary phase (Rhinophase^®-AB) useful for small and large-scale purification of bio-molecules. Rhinophase^®-AB may be packed into columns or SPE tubes and run at very high mobile phase linear velocities compared to the mechanically soft affinity gels such as Protein A and Protein G, which results in a dramatic increase in purification throughput. Furthermore, Rhinophase^®-AB can effectively purify a wide range of Mab subclasses, as well as polyclonal hIgG, IgA and IgM, providing an almost universal antibody purification media. Rhinophase^®-AB is available in 3, 5, 10 and 25 micron particle sizes.

Complete Solutions for Monoclonal Antibody Purification

ZirChrom now offers two complete solutions for monoclonal antibody purification: 1) the Rhinophase^®-AB Research Kit (top right; part# AB01-RES) and 2) the Rhinophase^®-AB Production Kit (bottom right; part# AB01-HTP). Each kit contains the items necessary to perform laboratory scale purifications (just add water!). The Research Kit is designed for small scale jobs. The Production Kit employs a vacuum filtration apparatus for high throughput applications (see below).

Note: Due to zirconia's very high mechanical strength, Mab purifications can be performed at high mobile phase linear velocities. A simple vacuum filtration apparatus included with the Rhinophase^®-AB Production Kit (part# AB01-HTP) can be use to achieve very high flow rates through a packed bed (90 mL/min). This approach is not possible using soft affinity gels such as Protein A and Protein G media.
